Well, here we are…..the end of March 2018 fast approaching….where is this year going?? I have to admit that I really loved the snow of a few weeks ago and all the excitement it brought. For a few days, children and families were playing together and experiencing the simple joys of life…..no iPads or X Boxes or Snapchats or any other online games or social media compromising the interaction of family and friends.
I am very busy these days trying to complete my Thesis as part of my Masters Degree on Christian Leadership in Education. I have thoroughly enjoyed this Masters Degree in Marino Institute of Education but it is so hard to find the time, physically or mentally, to get down to studying……but it will all be worthwhile please God!
I look forward to adjudicating in the Arklow Music Festival which is due to start April 21st until April 29th. The dates had to be rearranged because of the snow. This is always a lovely festival so ably run by John Bonner and his wonderful committee.
On May 17th I shall be singing in a Gala Concert in Our Lady of Rosary Church, Harold’s Cross. There will be three primary schools from the area also taking part. I am really looking forward to this. I always love working with young people and encouraging their talent. The Arts are so important to their holistic development.
Wasn’t it fantastic the manner in which the Irish rugby team beat England and in so doing, won the Grand Slam along with the Six Nations’ Rugby Championship?? Certainly St Patrick’s Day was memorable……
Time to sign off for now……until next time……au revoir!
